About Colorado OutSpoken

Colorado OutSpoken is a production of LambdaCom Corporation. We are a non-profit organization which presents programming to inform, entertain, and spiritually support the Colorado gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender community. LambdaCom was created in 1989 as an all volunteer organization and is a 501(c)(3) corporation.

With the help of about 20 current volunteers, LambdaCom airs monthly broadcast and cable programs, and various special programs, in the cities of Denver, Boulder, Colorado Springs, Pueblo, and Ft. Collins. The broadcasts are on PBS KBDI-TV Channel 12 which serves the Colorado Front Range.

One hundred percent of our funding comes from community sponsors. There is no paid staff for LambdaCom or Colorado OutSpoken.

Internet Security

For casual visitors to the Colorado OutSpoken web site, no user information is collected or retained, other than that which is entered into the server logs that are maintained for every web site on the Internet. For Colorado OutSpoken members, we install a cookie (if cookies are enabled on your browser) on your computer that is used to provide the “Hello, (member-name)…” welcome message presented to returning members on the site’s home page. The cookie contains only two pieces of information: the member’s first name and a number assigned to that member which is used in the site’s member database. No other member information (such as last name, email address, password, or the like) is contained in the cookie.

Although the use of the cookie assumes the current visitor is actually a registered member, any action performed by that visitor that requires absolute identification (such as registering in the movie ticket drawing or modifying the member’s registration information) requires further identification by the visitor through a login/identification page. The visitor is required to provide an accurate UserName and Password before continuing. Passwords are encrypted before transmission.

If you have further questions about this site’s security and visitor identification procedures, please use the ‘Contact Us’ form on the ‘Contact Us’ page.
